This training will take place all day on Friday November 12th on the 12th floor of the Jackson T. Stephens Spine and Neurosciences Institute. The training is broken into three hands-on sessions, which build on the participants skills. Experienced users can feel free to attend only the sessions that are of interest to them. The training is mostly composed of hands-on activities so participants will need to bring their own computers.
The first session covers remotely connecting to a Linux server and manipulating files from a command line.
The second session covers editing and creating basic shell scripts to allow multiple tasks to be performed.
The third session covers executing jobs on the actual HPC cluster.
If you are interested in attending please RSVP for the class by completing this form. If you do not already have an account on the HPC one will be created for you before class if you RSVP above.
